Abstract
|
|
|
Parasitic infections have been divided into two main categories, i.e. those caused by the protozoa or one-celled animals, and those caused by the metazoa or multi-celled animals. Common parasitic infections in the East (with particular emphasis on Southeast Asia) are listed in table I.
The clinical symptoms of infection by each of the parasites listed in table I are considered in turn, with particular reference to their treatment.
